Strange how history repeats itself. When Winston showed up at our door as kitten, he tried to nurse on the teets of our dog, Sparky (she was not amused, and as she was dieing of an illness called Leshmaniasis, had little interest in Winston).

After Sparky's death Rufino entered our lives as a puppy, and he took to Wiston like he had just found the older brother he never had. Winston, alas, remains unamused.
Rufino, nonetheless, perseveres. He pees like Winston, jumps like Winston, and tries constantly to, if not play, at least be close to Winston. Winston remains aloof. Perhaps because on the rare times when Rufino manages to get close, he feels the need to put Wisnton's whole head in his mouth, as a way of showing his deep and abiding affection. Posted by Picasa
